I decided to take the CG Master Academy class, Hard Surface Modeling for Films in order to work on my 3D modeling skills and to create a piece more complex than any of my previous projects. With lectures by Jay Machado and reviews from Andrew Bangel, I was able to learn a plethora of new techniques including the art of kitbashing and how to utilize a UDIM tile workflow. I was responsible for most to the model excluding several greebles.
The model is based on concept art by Howard Hsu with some edits and additions to make it more realistic.
